    What a route object is and why you need it<\/h2>\n

    To announce a leased range over BGP you need a route object<\/strong> in the RIPE Database. It links your prefix to your origin AS<\/strong>. Without it, many networks filter out your announcement and your addresses simply won’t route where it matters.<\/p>\n

    On our platform you create that object yourself, under your own maintainer, because when you lease a range we delegate mnt-routes<\/code> to you. That is control most leasing providers never give a lessee.<\/p>\n
